Adrian Crutchfield played Sunday night at Wild Rover Brewery to a packed and grateful house. Carl Harness of Jazzcat Productions brought in some fine musicians as surprise additions including a little keyboard playing of his own. What a happy night for all the area’s faithful jazz lovers some of whom come as far as the other coast of Florida. There was dancing and laughter and so much appreciation to have the music back.

Known as the last horn-man to perform and record with Prince (2012-2016); Adrian is featured on many of Prince’s final masterpieces including the 2017 Grammy-Nominated Hit-N-Run, and the unreleased but highly anticipated ”Black Is The New Black”.

Adrian was backed on stage by our own John Richardson on keys, John Thomas on drums and Sam Martinez on bass, and was joined by surprise guests Nathan Mitchell (who played keys and also sang with him on “Let’s Stay Together”) plus one of the founding members of Pieces of a Dream, James Lloyd!
