The Winery Dogs served up a carafe of excellent music and showmanship. Mike Portnoy was a powerhouse driving the band while Billy Sheehan served up a master class on the bass. Ritchie Kotzen delivered a stellar guitar performance along with his smooth soulful raspy voice. The Winery Dogs put on a clinic on what it is to be a Rock Band. This was truly a treat.

The crowd was howling in anticipation. TWD took the stage and from start to finish they gave 200%. The energy between the band and the audience never dropped off. You can truly tell that Mike, Billy, and Ritchie genuinely love playing together. This also comes across on their new release, The Winery Dogs III.

I want to thank Billy for his generosity and hospitality and for signing my Wife, both of them. I really enjoyed this show, not just as a Bass player, but as a music lover in general.

Florida’s own, Roxx Revolt & The Velvets opened the show and had an awesome outing. Stay tuned to Tampa Bay Music News for our revue.
