The band finally got to perform at Jannus Live. A previously scheduled show was cancelled and last night’s show teamed St.Pete Sons with the Inhalers who opened the concert. Jannus like many other venues is slowly building back to normal. So Jannus has given an opportunity for local bands to perform on its renowned stage with free admission for the public. St Pete Sons is a legendary Tampa Bay band lead by front man, guitarist and lead singer Billy Wells. Billy is now joined by his son River in the band on guitar and vocals. The band is filled out with bassist Dave Cassel and drummer Shane Wanek. Young River Wells is building a reputation in his own right as an artist and songwriter. Vince Ciurca the 727Rockman and TBMN News Director said of Billy Wells. “Billy is one helluva songwriter. When Billy was in a band with Jeremy Thomas called BRO (Basic Rock Outfit) Billy was the principal songwriter. I love St Pete Sons they’ve got a great rock vibe. It’s kind of a funky, rhythm and blues rock style”
St Pete Sons turned in a solid crowd-pleasing performance of originals and covers and had the audience rockin out.
The Inhalers opened the concert. This original rock band features Page Garrison: Guitar, Kevin Hohl: Drums, Tom Savage: Bass and Travis Parker: Vocals, Guitar. Inhaler fans could be seen throughout the house sporting the band’s t-shirts.
