The Audience surrendered to the Dream Police as Cheap Trick lit up the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tampa Event Center Tuesday night. They performed songs from across their catalog including all the big hits.
Donned in checkerboard, the crowd sang along and danced to every song. Rick Nielsen riffed it up while parading around with all his iconic guitars. Robin Zander sounded fantastic belting it out song after song. Daxx Nielsen (Rick’s Son) held down the rhythm on the drums while Tom Peterson grinded out bass lines on his 12-string bass. Robin Zander’s son, Robin Taylor Zander, stepped up to the mic and sang “Downed.” The band sounded amazing and totally killed it
I did get to see Cheap Trick earlier this year, but I enjoyed this show even more. The Seminole Hard Rock Event Center is a great venue for shows. It is more intimate and makes for a more enjoyable experience.
